Making
Pairs Of Bird
An approximage age of bird to breed
is at about 1 year. Excluding from sex
DNA, to check whether the bird is a male
or female, it can be seen by:
-
Checking
from a bottom bone : A female
bird will have a far unsharp while
a male bird will have a nearer and
sharper bottom bone.
-
External
appearance : A female bird will
be bigger than a male bird.
When the bird is already 1 year old
and checked whether it is a male or female.
A couple of birds will be put into an
arranged cage with a rest. If the birds
are seemed to be with each other and going
into the nest, it can be assumed that
the birds are making pairs already.
Feeding
the bird
The bird will lay an egg for every other
day for 4-7 eggs a time. The female bird
will hatch the eggs by herself alone with
an approximate 22 days length of time.
Nestling
When the time is due, the egg will be
punctured by the nestling. The father
and mother bird will raise their own nestling
with the owner assisting by providing
one more bowl of sunflower seed. Also,
the extra food of bread and corn are to
be provided in every morning.
Ring
A ring will be put on the nestling when
it is 2-3 weeks old. The ring will specify
year and number so that we can know the
detail of the bird, e.g., its parents,
breed, year of birth.
Sepearate
The Nestling
From its parents when the youngest nestling
going out from the nest for around 10-15
days.
